Our History

Beaumont opened on January 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Today, Beaumont Health System includes three hospitals and several community-based medical centers and nursing homes. Ninety-one medical and surgical specialties are represented on the Beaumont medical staffs of more than 3,100 physicians.
